Event Review | Antaisolar Hosts Rollout Ceremony for SmartTrail Intelligent Tracking Control System
September 17, 2025
Antaisolar recently hosted a rollout ceremony in Xiamen to celebrate the successful transition of its next-generation SmartTrail Intelligent Tracking Control System from R&D to mass production. Held under the theme “Leading with Intelligence, Harnessing Light for the Future,” the event highlighted Antaisolar’s robust capabilities in tracking system control technology and signified a major breakthrough in large-scale delivery capacity. This milestone positions the company to respond more efficiently to market demand, ensuring the stable operation and long-term returns of utility-scale solar plants, while enabling clients to achieve smarter plant management and stronger investment outcomes.

The ceremony opened with a keynote speech by Mr. Yang Shuibu, Antaisolar’s R&D Director, who introduced the company’s independently developed SmartTrail system. Integrating artificial intelligence algorithms, IoT, and cybersecurity technologies, SmartTrail delivers an efficient, stable, and secure all-in-one solution for solar tracking. At its core are the TCU (Tracking Control Unit) and NCU (Network Control Unit): the TCU enables precise real-time tracking along the sun’s trajectory to maximize energy yield, while the NCU serves as both the subnet’s control hub and the gateway for local and remote interaction. The two units work seamlessly together via Zigbee communication. Supported by a mobile app, SCADA, and remote O&M software, SmartTrail achieves end–edge–cloud collaborative management, covering the entire process from installation and commissioning to monitoring and operations. At the conclusion of his address, Mr. Yang officially unveiled the new-generation SmartTrail system to the audience.

During the product presentation, Mr. Zhuang Wei, Software Development Manager at Antaisolar, provided a detailed explanation of the upgrades to the TCU and NCU, along with a comprehensive overview of the system’s key advantages.

SmartTrail reflects the design philosophy of “form and function in harmony,” seamlessly combining technological aesthetics with engineering practicality. Its innovative design has been granted a national patent and won the prestigious Red Dot Concept Design Award in Germany. The development team conducted multiple rounds of stress cloud analysis and modal simulation to optimize strength, rigidity, and stability. With an IP65 protection rating, the system ensures reliable operation in diverse and challenging climate conditions.
On the hardware and software front, SmartTrail emphasizes high reliability. It incorporates industrial-grade chips, isolated circuits, and derating designs, while passing DFMEA assessments and rigorous multi-condition testing to verify stability under extreme environments. The system supports both DC and AC power supply and is equipped with a high-capacity lithium backup battery, guaranteeing continuous operation at night or during adverse weather. On the software side, SmartTrail leverages intelligent tracking algorithms and 3D modeling to reduce shading losses in complex terrain, significantly boosting generation efficiency. Paired with its mobile app, SCADA, and remote O&M applications, the system enables intelligent, end-to-end management—from rapid installation to remote operation and maintenance.
In terms of safety, SmartTrail establishes a comprehensive intelligent protection framework. Compatible with multiple weather sensors, each NCU can act as a micro-weather station, enabling the tracker to adjust promptly under conditions such as strong winds, heavy snow, or floods. Its layered protection and fault-tolerance mechanisms ensure uninterrupted operation; even in the event of individual device failure, overall plant safety remains intact. Moreover, SmartTrail provides full-spectrum security for personnel, equipment, and data through high/low-voltage isolation, electrical protection, and dual hardware/software encryption—delivering both efficient generation and robust protection.
The successful rollout of SmartTrail marks a significant milestone in Antaisolar’s advancement of intelligent control technology. Looking ahead, Antaisolar will remain committed to its mission of “Raise a Green World,” driving technological innovation and quality assurance. With more advanced intelligent solutions, the company aims to support the efficient and secure operation of solar plants worldwide. In parallel, Antaisolar will deepen collaboration with industry partners, promoting high-quality development across the renewable energy sector, accelerating the global zero-carbon transition, and leading the industry toward a smarter and more sustainable future.
